Founded in April 2022, Phthalo Ruth started as a passion project to supplement my full-time graphic design job. By sharing my whimsical illustrations and embracing a childlike approach to art, my instagram account grew rapidly and eventually lead to consistent sales. This success allowed me and my husband to leave our corporate jobs and together we've evolved into a six-figure business. As two individuals with an "I can do anything" mindset, we're now eager to build a team of self-starters who want to grow with us and contribute to our dynamic and expanding company. This position is freelance, project-based, and remote, allowing for flexible work arrangements with ample room for professional growth.

Craft beautiful and engaging emails that brighten someone's day! Are you passionate about design, collaboration, and finding ways to make every moment special? If so, we want to hear from you!

What you'll do:

• Design eye-catching and engaging email campaigns: You'll brainstorm ideas with the founder, iterate on designs, and bring your creative vision to life. We consider our emails a love letter to connect with and inspire our audience.
• Collaborate with the founder: This is a close-knit team, and you'll work directly with the founder to develop campaign strategies and bring your design ideas to fruition. Be prepared for open communication and lots of creative brainstorming!
• Design our menu/invite templates: Go beyond email - you'll also have the opportunity to design beautiful and functional menu and invitation templates and more as our product collection grows.
• Prepare print production files: Prepping and resizing artwork in our various print sizes with keen attention to detail and utilizing best print practices. 
• Mockup Creation: Research and create appropriate mockups for our products listings, email campaigns, and social platforms.

Requirements

• Proficient Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
• Experience in Figma (preferred but not required)
• Great taste and keen eye for design and typography
• Shared values, vision and enthusiasm for our brand

We welcome applicants with different levels of education and experience, as long as you have a strong portfolio and demonstrate a good fit with our team.

• Compensation based on experience.
• A test project will likely be required for top applicants to ensure a perfect fit for both parties.
• Handwriting/Calligraphy experience preferred.
